Ashley and Riley are the sweetest humans. They decided they wanted to have their engagement session at two locations in Fort Worth: Airfield Falls and Tandy Hills. From skipping rocks, to tickle fights, to watching the sun set behind the Fort Worth skyline, it truly was a blissful, care-free time. Ashley and Riley chose Airfield Falls and Tandy Hills because they are enamored with Fort Worth’s charm and culture. They wanted to include a historic site as well as a beautiful, vast natural area for their engagements to showcase their personalities. Their story is so romantic, and I truly think they couldn’t have selected a better place. They met during their final semester at UNT (go eagles!) at one of the bars on campus. Ashley’s best friend had a class with Riley and thought she’d like him. Turns out Ashley totally did, and the two of them clicked instantly. He became her favorite person shortly after and life has been more fun ever since. They’ve been together for nearly 3 years and went to Big Bend a month ago for a long weekend trip with Ashley’s brothers. He proposed on their first day at the top of a little mountain, and the rest is history!
They describe themselves as a “goofy couple” which I just ADORE about them, and I was thrilled to be able to capture that side of them so beautifully. They are outdoorsy, extremely into traveling, and they truly enjoy going to concerts, so as you can imagine, Covid has been cramping their style a little bit lol. We listened to some fun tunes during our session, in spite of us all missing live music (including plenty of Tame Impala for the win!). I just adored this session with these two, and I am beyond stoked to be capturing their wedding in November. I’ll be swooning over their magical Fort Worth engagement session until then.
