When Jenny and I found one another on Facebook, we instantly connected over our love for travel and adventure. So, when she mentioned that she and her fiancé, Luke, were planning their wedding out in Seattle, and their engagement session in Joshua Tree, I jumped at the opportunity to capture their love story. This was my very first time in Joshua Tree, and its beauty literally blew me away. From the actual Joshua Tree themselves (which exclusively grow in this region’s altitude, so cool!) to the large rock formations and desert vibes, it proved to be the most amazing location for our session.

After our incredible session together, we wanted to shoot EVEN MORE. We’d just had such a phenomenal time shooting in Joshua Tree, that we decided to also venture over to one of Malibu’s most beautiful scenic sights, El Matador Beach. And gosh, was it worth every single second. From the fierceness of the crashing waves, the seagulls frolicking above us, and the crispness of the cool, California breeze, I couldn’t help but be awestruck. We couldn’t stop ranting about how PERFECT of an idea it was to incorporate both locations, as they proved to be the perfect combination for showing their venturesome spirits, and profound love for one another.

Without question, I would go back to either Joshua Tree or Malibu (or BOTH) in heartbeat. If you’re thinking about booking your session at either one of these glorious locations, please feel free to drop me a line!
